Pinterest - Major issues with international average revenue per user

I want to write a quick note here that there is an issue with Pinterest not being able to monetize their global audience. The average revenue per user is only 25 cents per user annually which is not enough to run a profitable business. The United States ARPU is healthy at $9 per user but the problem is that the user growth is coming from global regions (185 million users) while the 80 million in United States is flat to declining.

Venture capitalists would not invest with the metrics, FYI. They don't meet the standards for a viable social business model or mobile user business model. Wanted to make a quick note on this and will follow up with analysis next week.
